Hello,

We have received enough interest for the Rainbow 6 Siege tournament and the buy-in is now live:

Please complete your buy-in now.  In order to pay the buy-in, you will need to already be a Junior member, Friend of the NSA, or higher rank OR will need to register to our site and complete the Join Us instructions.  This is needed because our site does not allow guests to access the store and so that users will get the proper access in our TeamSpeak 3 server for the event.

After enough people have submitted their buy-in we will work to schedule the tournament so all can attend and finalize the details.  We also have one more poll attached to this topic to determine how the community would like to handle the team selection.  The highest voted tournament style was "Team Based - Set Teams. IE: 5 vs 5 with 3 or 5 matches. Best team wins. (Double your money if up to 10 people sign up, more if we get over 10)" so we are voting on what team selection would fit that style.

UPDATE 1/31:

The tournament is now scheduled for Saturday, February 11th at 5PM CT.  To register for the event you need to purchase your buy-in.  Buy-in NEEDS to purchased by 11:59 PM on 2/09/2017.  Official rules will be posted on 2/10 (rules will be determined by number of players that register).

If you need to, you can also RSVP to the event with the below event post which should convert the time to your local time if you have your time settings properly configured.

By team passes, do you mean one $50 option?  As for estimate of the date, I am hoping we can plan to have it on one of the next couple weekends.

First off, if anybody is still interested in joining you can still purchase a buy-in.  We will accept buy-ins until the start time for the tournament OR until we reach 10 players.  If you purchase a buy-in after we reach 10 players you will be "on deck" for no shows and will be refunded your buy-in if all players show.

Now for the rules:

Tournament:

Teams will be chosen by team captains (unless those that are playing would rather do random teams with individual stats determining placement which then we can include the odd player if an odd number of players show up - teams would be randomized for each match).  Team captains would be chosen at random once everyone is present.

Rounds:
There will be 3-5 maps played, one map will be House and the other 2 will be voted by all who are present.  In order to avoid the issue where some players still have bloom issues, all maps will be night.

Map Pool:

  • House
  • Oregon
  • Hereford Base
  • Club House
  • Presidential Plane
  • Consulate
  • Bank
  • Kanal
  • Chalet
  • Kafe Dostoyevsky
  • Border
  • Skyscraper
  • Coastline

Settings will be as follows:

  • Playlist Type: Normal Mode
  • Time of Day: Night
  • HUD Settings: Normal
  • Match Settings
    • Number of Rounds: 8
    • Attacker/Defender Role swap: 1
    • Overtime Rounds: 3
    • Overtime Score Difference: 2
    • Overtime Role Change: 1
    • Objective Rotation Parameter: 2
    • Attacker Unique Spawn: On
    • Damage Handicap: 100
    • Friendly Fire Damage: 100
    • Injured: 20
    • Sprint: On
    • Lean: On
    • Death Replay: On
  • Game Mode: TDM - Secure Area
  • Game Mode Settings
    • Secure Time Limit 15
    • Unsecure Time Limit 15
    • Preparation Phase Duration: 45
    • Action Phase Duration: 210

Create Game Settings:

  • Server Type: Player Hosted (if less than 10) OR Dedicated Server (if 10)
  • Data Center: Central to all players playing (Only can be selected for Dedicated Server)
  • Privacy: Host Invite Only
  • Voice Chat: Team Only
  • Allow Spectator: Off
  • Then Create as Player if even OR Create as Spectator if uneven

Hosting:

If we have 10 players, we will use the Dedicated Server option.  If we do not have at least 10 players but have an uneven number of players show up for the tournament then one person will be chosen to host as a spectator based on who has the best connection.  That person will be considered a winner regardless of which team wins and will get the winner payout.     If there is an even number of players that show up (and < 10) then either 2 players from each team will be selected to host and they will switch off every 2 rounds OR if everyone agrees then one will host the whole tournament.  The host will need to set up a playlist with the above maps in settings (it is easiest to create the playlist, set up one map, then duplicate it and just change the map).

Spectator:

If a Spectating Host is needed, that host MUST not communicate with either team during the matches.  The spectating host MUST go into a separate TS3 channel during the match.  If a host is found to be communicating with a team/individual of a team, it will count as an instant win for the opposing team and the host will not be eligible for the winnings.

Lost Connection:

If a player loses connection in the first round of any match before the preparation phase is over, the match should be restarted.  If a player loses connection at any time after that, then after the round ends the game may be paused by either team during the freeze time (THE GAME MUST NOT BE PAUSED MID-ROUND).

Breaks:

Any player can call for a break BETWEEN matches.  A break can not be called for during a match.  The maximum break time can not exceed 10 minutes.

Sportsmanship:

Unsportsmanlike behavior can disqualify you from the winnings even if your team wins.  If you rage quit you will not be qualified for the winnings even if your team wins after the fact.

The Winnings:

The winnings will be divided evenly amongst the winning team (and host if an odd number of players show up).
